Friends Forever

Hiya!
Todays card is one that I have made for my son to give to one of his best friends, Lauren who he has known since nursery and in 2wks she is off to York  Uni, he is very proud of her and I know he'll miss her as he calls her the sister he never had. I have used a penny black image coloured with promarkers, and basically kept it very simple.

Retirement card

Hi everyone.
Have finally made the retirement card and box that I was asked to make over a month ago, I stayed in on saturday as it was needed for today. I had no inspiration whatsoever, I don't know the lady its for and have never made a retirement card before but I was quite pleased with how it turned out.
This is the card.
 The card and box together.
 The insert.
 The box.
The main image is a kanban stamp, the flower is a sizzix die, m/s doily border punch.

Howdy!

Hiya!
Am back at work after my week off and with looking after Cassie I haven't had any crafting time of late! Am hoping to get a new lamp this week so I can craft in the evenings as I'm not able to do that at the moment (eyes not what they used to be, lol!)
This card was made using a sizzix die that I got a while ago from Hobbycraft on sale for £1.49!

Hi all. I have made this card for one of my buddies on docrafts whose birthday is coming up soon.
The image is a clear stamp from kanban that I have coloured with promarkers, the blue card is embossed using a sizzix texture plate, the backing paper is from kanban, the border is using martha stewart layered arches border punch, seam binding ribbon and pin from the ribbon girl.

Our new fur baby!

Evening all.  I'm not great at this blogging, I can't believe it's been over a week since I posted. Both hubby and I are on a weeks holiday this week and there is loads I wanted to get done including an 8x8  card and box for a retirement which I haven't started yet and it's thursday tomorrow! We have sort of got sidetracked by having a new puppy, I was determined not to have another dog after we lost our beloved border collie Tessa in June but hubby and son wore me down and we chose a sable coloured border collie instead of black and white so she wouldn't look like Tessa. Unfortunately the photo's I have of her are blurry as she won't keep still, I have been trying since sunday to get a decent picture since we fetched her from Wales, a 350mile round trip!

This is Cassie, she's 9wks old and adorable!
Well thats all for now, hopefully be back with a card soon.  x

Quick card !

Hello to all on this very rainy evening. I had planned to have a play with some tags I brought a while ago and distress inks this afternoon but it wasn't to be, no sooner was I home from work when my son phoned asking if I would make a card for him to give to his partner's cousin,' no problem' I said, 'when do you want it for?'
'oh  anytime today' he said! Well this is the result.
I used a digi image of Dexter from the digistamp boutique, coloured with promarkers, paper is a download from summer driggs, m/s layered arches border punch swiss dots embossing folder on core'dinations cardstock, gold card candy, greeting was using Habico alphabet stamps and small square xcut punch.

No card !

Hi!
I am very disappointed not to have a card to upload today, I had all good intentions!  Had a very busy (and rubbish) week at work and was so glad when it was over. I was up at 6.30 a.m today to get all my housework done in time to watch Barbara Gray, I love what she does, she is so inspirational. I have yet to experiment with a brayer but it's on my list.  Then hubby came home from work and we went to a garden/craft centre and I only brought an embossing folder! The rest of the day ran away from me without me getting any crafting done and I won't get any done tomorrow as I have my mom, my eldest son, his partner and daughter to dinner. I find it difficult to craft in the evening as I don't have a very good light (another thing on my list). Well enough waffling, hope you all have a great weekend, hopefully be back pretty soon with a card and I might even try to work out how to enter a blog challenge !!!
Take care, love Jayne. x  x
